27 JUL: Fight training

This was one of our toughest fight training workouts. We incorporated anaerobic endurance drills, technique, and heavy-bag work output drills, all into one workout. The garage is covered in sweat!!!

  1. Heavybag - ground to shoulder to slam: 2rnds x 1min
  2. Heavybag - ground to shoulder to shoulder-squat: 1rnd x 2min
  3. Close-range heavybag: 2rnds x 2min
    We focued on knees, elbows, and hooks
  4. Mid-to-close range heavybag: 2 rnds x 3min
    We focused on lead kicks, straight punches, and all close range tools
  5. Full range heavybag: 2rnds x 3min
    Same as above, but added in rear round kicks, hook kicks, and push kicks,
  6. Minute drills - kicks: 2 x 1min
    Most I got in a single minute was 26 kicks
  7. Minute drill - punches: 1 x 1min
    No idea what i got, but this took every twitch of life from me. That was the end of the workout.
